Those from the areas have heard our State referred to as, “Wy(Home)ing.”
This is a way of highlighting Wyoming as literally the best place to live and the best place to make your home. Home is where the heart is and residents of Wyoming find their love for community when living in Cheyenne. When you talk with anyone in the area you will learn that they love how friendly the people are. Another highlight is how great the community is when supporting the youth, the elderly, veterans and active military, even the love for the arts and cultural events in the area is strong!

It took me about six months to acclimate to the wind and find my people here, but once I did, I have been thankful to live in Cheyenne ever since. It is very easy to become involved and you aren’t looked at as an outsider, but instead embraced as a friend.
