So many children in Laramie County were impacted by the abrupt end to the 2019-2020 school year.

It was a challenging time for our community. Parents, educators, children and businesses were all impacted by the change in the educational system. The resiliency of our community is evident however. We were able to see classrooms adapt to 100% virtual platforms, which was embraced by some and left others in tears and frustrated as I witnessed with my own three children. But, everyone worked very hard to make the best of the situation. We were able to see a shift in employers, by providing more flexibility and understanding to their employees who were impacted. We were able to see children reinvent playtime and how they interacted with classmates. What we witnessed was incredible and simple reasons why we have a strong community and why we are “Wy(HOME)ing Strong.”
As we prepare for the 2020-2021 school year and the changes ahead, we thought it would be fun to provide one last Wy(HOME)ing Strong giveaway. This is our Wy(HOME)ing Strong Back to School Package:

We are looking forward to this upcoming school year to see how the rapid changes that occurred in the Spring will have an impact on the upcoming school year, or years ahead! We even saw changes occur with the Laramie County Library System Summer Reading Celebration. We sponsor this program and this year they were effective in making it available through an online platform. It was impressive to see a public sector organization change so quickly to meet the needs of the populations they serve. We applaud them and give our big thanks to everyone who made the changes possible! We know it isn’t ever easy and we look forward to an amazing fall season ahead. It will be fun.
