It only takes a few minutes with Linda to know how easy she is to talk with! She is a great listener!
She has decades of experience in Napa Valley real estate sales and she’s been serving the Laramie County area for three years. we are grateful to welcome her to our brokerage!
Recently I had a chance to ask Linda a few questions.
Tell me about your long, successful real estate story.
Growing up in the Dakotas influenced my life. Tireless work ethic, putting the client before the commission, and dedication to public service and community has its roots in the vastness of the prairie and its people. I started my real estate career in Sycamore, Illinois, in 1972 and obtained my broker’s license in 1975. During those years I hosted an open-air radio program, became a real estate educator, and hungered for all the education I could get. Women were new to this industry, as was MLS, open houses, and a new kind of mortgage lending. I received my GRI designation, served on my local board, and raised my family.
Share your story from your years in Napa Valley.
In 1980 I moved to a small sleeping agriculture community called Napa, California. I worked for a couple of small agencies before becoming an owner in a company called Park Place Brokers, which later became Coldwell Banker Brokers of the Valley. I semi-retired in 1992 and moved to Wisconsin to care for my elderly parents. Upon my father’s death I returned to California in 1995.
What was your next step after caring for your parents?
I reactivated my license and, along with sales, I began staging homes for sale. It is a great service to my clients and again showed me how this business continues to change. I served on a low-income housing board called H.A.N.D. as well as a mental health board – Family Services of the North Bay. It was here that I created special financing for low-income clients.
How did you end up in Cheyenne?
In 2015 I decided to join my son and his family in their move to Cheyenne. Moving back to the area of my youth has rekindled a love of this endless land and its residence. My goal is to serve the people of Cheyenne with the skills given to me so long ago by my family and community— just a little to the right and straight to the North. I love the big sky of Wyoming!
And, finally, what do you consider your real estate super power?
My super power is my ability to relate to clients and build lasting relationships with them!
