We say we’re a family here at RE/MAX Capitol Properties, but that holds especially true for some of our teams. The Riedel team, made up of three siblings, Lacey, Hailey, Alex, and their mother, Tania, is adding another family member to their real estate team. They are excited to welcome Austin Coward, husband of Lacey Coward, who officially joined the team in late March.
Though he grew up in North Carolina, Austin now calls Cheyenne home. He said it was the wide-open spaces, the friendly, laid-back people, and the western lifestyle synonymous with Wyoming that drew him here. Austin is passionate about volunteering and giving back to the community. In his younger years, Austin was active in volunteer efforts such as food kitchens and animal shelters. Though recent job schedules with long hours have kept him from doing the volunteer work he is passionate about, Austin is looking forward to at last having the time to be involved in the community.
The Riedel Team is happy to have another family member joining their force. Lacey Coward said of Austin joining the team, “It is the support we can offer each other in both busy and slow seasons in real estate. We can be each other’s cheerleader and help grow our team’s success in a way that reflects our core values: trust, care, and integrity. We are not approaching this as a husband and wife duo but as him becoming another member of our family team. We each bring something unique to the table and are creating a legacy. We are still growing and it takes patience, perseverance, and passion in this business to be successful. We can’t wait to see where it takes us!”
I recently asked Austin a few questions about himself. These were his answers.
What did you do before real estate?
My first work experience was my time spent in the Navy. After that, I lived on St. John in the US Virgin Islands where I taught SCUBA diving at the Westin Resort. I left there to attend college at Colorado State University where I got a BS in Recreation and Tourism. I taught SCUBA diving throughout college as well. After college, I worked for a landscaping company in Fort Collins, and then for Bobcat of the Rockies as a parts and supplies sales specialist. I also went to Front Range Community College where I got my EMT certification as well as to Aims Community College for my firefighter I and Hazmat Operations certification.
What are you most looking forward to as you begin your career as a realtor?
“I am most looking forward to being a realtor because I love meeting new people, establishing new relationships, and spending time in the community. I enjoy volunteering and take great care in nurturing friendships and relationships with others. I can’t wait to help people accomplish their goals of homeownership and to be a driving force for good within the community.”
We’re happy to have Austin at RE/MAX Capitol Properties and are excited to watch him and the Riedel Team grow. To connect with Austin, call him at 970-889-3171, he is ready to guide you to your home buying and selling goals.
