We had a great day shooting videos to showcase the work United Way of Laramie County is doing when making it a better place to live. With it’s top goal of being one of the top five healthiest counties in Wyoming by 2025, we have work to do in three big areas;
- Increase high school graduation rates
- Decrease homelessness
- Decrease the number of school age children on free or reduced lunches
No one can do it all, so United Way of Laramie County brings Program Partners together to combat these issues in our community. Last year a new program was launched called Community Schools Strategy. In just the first year this program has proven to be extremely successful. United Way of Laramie County also started Wyoming 2-1-1 and the Wyoming Free Tax Service. United Way of Laramie County directly supports and unites 25 agencies and programs that fall under the categories of education, financial stability and health.
