Sweet to the East

East Cheyenne has been growing and will continue to grow.

Since 2006 the Sweetgrass Development has been working to have a mixture of housing and commercial properties East of Cheyenne off of College Avenue. In recent months there has been work happening on the housing division. Last year, 2,000 acres of the land was annexed, therefore will receive City of Cheyenne water and sewer. Additionally, Hospitality 307 recently announced their large event arena, convention center and hotel which will also be located in the Sweetgrass Development. When announced, owner Tate Bauman shared that it will be comparable to the Budweiser event center in Loveland, CO and the Embassy Suites. They are expected to be operational in 2021.

Overall too the development has dedicated land to go toward future schools, commercial space, and will be providing around 5,000 new dwelling units to the community. It is a great project which has been the vision of Lummis Livestock Co. for a long time. We are eager to see it advance and happy they have the dedication to see it through.

This is an important development for Cheyenne as we continue to see growth in our area. Many people want to move to Cheyenne from Northern Colorado and other places to escape high traffic, changes to their areas and for our Wyoming lifestyle. The additional residential properties for sale will be very welcome in Laramie County. If you are considering a move to Cheyenne, then connect with us today and we can show you the area and discuss your real estate goals.
