We have shared with you recently our investment in the Summer Reading Challenge at the Laramie County Library System and have some changes to the program in light of COVID19.
The program started on June 1st and the program is open to all ages. This makes it fun for families because the parents can model the reading habits for their kiddos, and can expand on their imaginations together. The program has moved to an online platform where signup and participation are easy. To Imagine Your Story, go to the library’s website and click on the green dragon to get started.  A tip for parents – register yourself first and then it is easy to add the rest of your family! Overall, the Laramie County Library System is doing all they can to keep the gift of reading an option and a go-to, especially during the advised social distancing. It is smart to take care of our community and all work to stay healthy, so transitioning our Summer Reading Program to an online platform is a way to serve both purposes. We are happy the Library was able to think through this option for children and families, and we are proud sponsors of this amazing offering.
Don’t have access to a smartphone or computer? Call the library in Cheyenne, Burns, or Pine Bluffs and a representative will be able to help you!!
Earn badges, collect tickets, enter into drawings, and keep at it to earn a final prize package that includes a book for children and teens and some other goodies for adults. Â Until the library opens you have access to library materials by placing a hold and doing curbside pickup once your items are available. Â Offered now too are fun challenging virtual events throughout the summer to feed your curiosity and provide a little variety in your learning and adventure.
Join the Summer Reading Challenge 2020 and Imagine Your Story this summer!
