Spring into Selling!

416 Main Pine Bluffs New Listing Remax Capitol Properties

Spring is just around the corner!

Thinking of putting your home on the market? Here are some easy tips to get ready for that for sale sign!

  • Make the front of your home as inviting as possible. Remove any clutter from the entry, clean, and give a coat of fresh paint if necessary. Remove any plants that do not look their best, and during warmer months, potted plants or faux greenery can be added to the outside of a home to make the home look more inviting and add pops of color. Always keep out a welcome mat, and make sure if you would like shoes removed to indicate this to your realtor, so they provide a basket of shoe covers and leave a chair for easy shoe removal!
  • Make your home as light as possible. When getting ready for a showing, make your home as light as possible! Open the curtains, turn on lights, and make sure that any fixtures have burned out bulbs replaced. This will not only make the room appear cleaner, but also help the rooms look bigger! Add lamps to dark corners and touch up any paint that may be dark or dingy.
  • De-clutter and Depersonalize. Making your home appear as clean and as move-in ready as possible is a definite must. Buyers like to walk into a home and think of it as their own. Removing personal items and valuables helps let buyers begin thinking of this as their space. De-cluttering also helps the spaces of your home appear bigger and helps buyers see the storage spaces.
