National Space Day is observed annually on the first Friday in May. This day is dedicated to the extraordinary achievements, benefits and opportunities in the exploration and use of space. The goal of National Space Day is to promote math, science, technology and engineering education in young people to inspire them to pursue a career in science, especially a career in space-related jobs.
For millennium, space has captured the attention of stargazers around the little blue dot we call earth. As technology progressed, the idea of visiting the stars went from being just ideas drawn on a paper by Galileo to full blown space programs.
It is hard to believe that we are only about 115 years from the date of man’s first flight and now three countries have launched rockets that have allowed men and women to visit the dark, forbidding coldness of space.
Along with the interest of space came the writing, books, and movies that make up the genre of science fiction. This has been propelled in interstellar orbit with the likes of the Star Wars and the Star Trek franchises.
Real estate has a similar connection in that there are those who seem earthbound, while a few work hard to be stellar in their approach to providing out of this world customer service for their clients. Many aspire to reach for the stars, but are not always willing to do what it takes to boldly go where none have gone before.
Remember that the journey to your new home can be a process that requires dedication. You need a realtor that like astronauts is willing to see a plan through from liftoff to touchdown.
In connection with National Space Day, we conclude by sharing this is also National Star Wars Day – May the fourth be with you!
Reaching for the stars,
