That means your agent is going to want to bring people through and let them see your property! What can you do to get your home ready for showings and keep things secure? Here’s a few tips!

• Get Lit. A well lit home shows so well! Open curtains, turn on lights, replace burned out bulbs in fixtures and turn on lamps in dark places if necessary. Trim back any bushes, shrubs, or tree limbs that sit too close to the home and block sunlight from coming in.

• Don’t get taken. When opening up your home, it is important to protect your valuables and personal info. Lock things up or take them with you. Jewelry, guns, and pharmaceuticals are often targets for theft during open houses, so locking these items up or taking them prevents loss to you as a owner. While theft is not a common occurrence, it is best to take precautions on items that you will miss!
