Military Matters

Nationally you may have heard that it is Military Appreciation Month!

Here in Cheyenne it is more than that. May is called “Military May” because our military matters. Cheyenne and Laramie County were founded the same day as the military base. Now that is an inseparable bond!

Knowing this, it is also important to be aware that all of these entities were formed in our region because of the access at the time to Crow Creek. This is the areas primary water source. With our involvement in supporting the area military, community development and growth, we are involved helping to fund efforts to restore Crow Creek. With this restoration the environment will improve area recreation and will become a primary quality of life amenity in Cheyenne and Laramie County.

We invest our time, talents and money into these efforts because of their level of importance to improving our community. All who visit and live in Cheyenne and Laramie County deserve advancements in recreation, health and wellness. Crow Creek is a way to do this and we are excited to be a part of making history with this effort. Learn more about the Adventure Cheyenne initiative and Crow Creek Restoration by visiting here. This is one way we work to help serve those who do so much for us each day. Military matters to our community and we work hard to prioritize them and the historic link to our community with these opportunities.
