We are excited to announce and welcome, Rick Risheill! Rick grew up just down the road in Fort Collins, CO. Rick and his wife, Shae, moved to Cheyenne, in 2017 when they bought their first home. When Shae became a realtor with RE/MAX Capitol Properties in early 2018, he continued to commute to Fort Collins for work as an operation manager until late 2020 when he decided he wanted to join his wife as a REALTOR. They are active in the community, and love how much this community does for one another. Rick feels inspired to help that progress.
I recently had a chance to visit with Rick and asked him a couple questions.
1. What made you make the jump to a real estate career?
“I made the jump into real estate for a change of pace and to really help open up people’s eyes that home ownership isn’t as scary and complicated to get into as a lot of people in my generation seem to think it is. Shae and I love meeting new people, entertaining, and hosting get-togethers year round; we always have an open door! I enjoy the fresh Wyoming air and reap the benefits of that year round, from camping in the spring, boating in the summer, and hunting in the fall and early winter. Our family is made up of myself, my wife, and our 3 dogs. We love having them along on our adventures, whether it be in the Jeep on off road adventures, in the camper for longer stays, or in the boat on any of Wyoming’s beautiful lakes.”
2. What advice would you give to young first time home buyers?
“My advice for those first time home buyers is make the leap but it’s more of a small hop, it isn’t scary. So many people think that you need 10s of thousands of dollars saved to put down but there are SO many options that make it very affordable to get into a home. Start talking to lenders and realtors and learn for yourself how easy it can be.”
