Local Hero Recognized by Homes for Hero

12 Days of Heroes Winner

Homes for Heroes solicited for nominations to be able to select 12 heroes to recognize them over the holiday season. Homes for Heroes wanted to brighten the holidays for a local hero through this effort, and a provincial nomination was chosen. RE/MAX Capitol Properties Agent, Jessica, submitted one of her heroes because of his extensive commitment to service. As a selected hero, he was mailed a check for $600, so Jessica presented a unique Christmas Miracle to her local hero. It was a wonderful opportunity to highlight her commitment to serving heroes in our community by going above and beyond for a hero in need. We are proud to have agents, like Jessica, at RE/MAX Capitol Properties.

Meet the Winner

Courageous, compassionate, brave, humble, and selfless. “J” has dedicated over half his life to protecting and serving our country and community. He has proudly served ten years in the Air Force, two deployments, 12 years in the National Guard, and 15 years with the Cheyenne Police Department. He has voluntarily spent days and months away from his family and home and continues to risk his life every day when he puts on his uniform. Daily, he shows how selfless and deeply he cares for others, along with his willingness to give up everything for others without thinking for his betterment. He does all of this while raising his three beautiful, intelligent children. Cheyenne is lucky to have him protecting our city.

“Such an honor and privilege to play a role in recognizing a local hero and making his and his kid’s Christmas a little brighter. The opportunity to play a small part and to be able to express our gratitude and appreciation for this gesture made my Christmas! I can imagine the smiles from the kiddos when they wake up on Christmas morning and see all the gifts under the tree and their dad smiling.”

Shared Jessica.

From the outside, we see only a tiny amount of the sacrifices, so many men and women make for us, and often don’t see how it affects the families and the sacrifices they make as well. Thank you, Homes for Heroes, for recognizing our local hero! One of the many reasons we are proud to have agents who are so heavily engaged with the Homes for Heroes association.
