What do you think of when you hear, “Lions, Tigers & Bears, Oh My?”
Most would say, Wizard of Oz. However, think beyond just that. Think about the adventure associated with the characters going on a journey. They are exploring and are exposed to a whole new world. Lions Park, located in Cheyenne off of 8th Avenue is a place for adventure and great recreation. There is a beach, bike paths, paddle boating, canoeing, fishing, fitness trail, horse shoes, baseball field, play areas and event spaces, like the Amphitheater.
Additionally, the Lions Park is home to the epic tree house, where climbers go up the structure learning about the components of a tree when doing so. There are other experiences in the park including the municipal community indoor and outdoor pools, putt putt, grilling areas, the Botanic Gardens, all of which are surrounding Sloans Lake.
Lions Park is a community gem because it is a park made for all ages and there is an adventure for everyone. Fresh air and exercise for the entire family. One of my favorite things about walking around the lake is the sound of the bird. My kids would tell you they love to see turtles perched on the tree limbs sticking out of the lake.
