Elizabeth Dillow, a Laramie County Library Board Member, shares how the library helps military families!
She shared how every time her family makes a military move with PCSing they find the community library to start getting a feel for their new home town. They have lived in Cheyenne three times now with military assignments at F.E. Warren AFB for a combined total of 11 years. The library has become a home away from home for her family. She loves the Laramie County Library so much that she is now on the Board of Directors.
She encourages anyone making a military move to head over to the local library to start to feel like a part of the community. Because most military moves occur at the beginning of the summer it fits perfectly with the start of the Summer Reading Programs around the country. Elizabeth and so many others eagerly await the start date for Cheyenne’s Summer Reading Celebration! Due to the COVID-19 situation our local Summer Reading Celebration is expected to have some changes. Please check the Library’s website for the details.
If you are new to Cheyenne and Laramie County, welcome! We hope that like Elizabeth you can feel at home here and that you’ll plug into the Library and other attractions that our city and surrounding areas have to offer! If we can be of assistance at RE/MAX Capitol Properties, please give us a call today with your questions 307-635-0303!
