Family is important to Cheyenne and you know this from their recent ability to raise $300k for the installation of a Splash Pad in downtown Cheyenne.
The Splash Pad was a community amenity added to the list of must-dos for the Cheyenne Downtown Core. This group is comprised of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, Cheyenne Leads, Visit Cheyenne and the Downtown Development Authority. As a priority they went through the motions to get the support of the City Council and were successful at getting $250k appropriated toward the project contingent upon the Committee raising the remaining $300k. The City of Cheyenne has moved forward with the project and hopes to have the Splash Pad constructed this year. This will be a great amenity and most certainly one keeping family at the center of its purpose.

I love to be outside and to play in water, so I cannot wait for this summer to come to the new Splash Pad with my friends! At my house it gets too muddy if my parents let me run through the hose. It will be much more fun with more kids around downtown!
Congratulations to the many people who worked to make this project happen! Just another reason to love Cheyenne. Our community comes together when a need arises. We hope to see you splashin’ around this summer!
