The Enhanced Use Lease is navigating their way through the Wyoming Business Council for funding.
During the legislature they pursued funding through the legislature. While the bill passed to support the project by both the Senate and the House, Governor Gordon Vetoed the bill. He then advised the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce to go through the Wyoming Business Council for further funding. Therefore, as stewards of this project with our investment in the Wyoming Business Advocates, we ask that you visit with your legislative contacts, local elected officials, as well as folks who are connected with the Wyoming Business Council to tell them why this is an important project. This is what you need to share:
- The project will bring 600 displaced airmen back to our community.
- It will be a development that is serving West Cheyenne and be outfitted with new commercial amenities bringing more tax dollars to the County and City.
- This investment will be seen as a sign of support from the community for our local military for Congress.
All are great reasons and tell you that this project is vital to the greater Cheyenne area. So let’s rally behind it and make it a reality.
A special thanks to Kourtney Mits, Cheyenne REALTOR with RE/MAX for showing us the area being considered!
