We are so proud of you, Kevin True! Thank you for always being above the crowd!
Kevin was not only blessed to receive the Cheyenne Board of Realtors Realtor of the Year award, but he was also awarded the Outstanding Realtor of the Year award from the Wyoming Realtors Association! Kevin was selected for the state award out of 6 other outstanding Realtors of the Year, and we are thrilled to have such a fantastic agent in our company and community. Adri, Kevin’s daughter, thought she should share her words for nominating him for the Realtor of the Year.
Kevin did not start his life career in real estate. When he was 18, Kevin went to work as a laborer, working to build some of Cheyenne’s staples, including the Frontier Mall and paving Dell Range. After a stint at college, Kevin went into the electrical apprenticeship. He learned the skills and trade that became his career, and he became an outstanding journeyman electrician for 25+ years, serving with the IBEW 415 in Cheyenne and working even harder to complete his jobs and make our community safe. In 2007, Kevin began to realize that he could no longer work physical labor at the same speed and efficiency he had, and that the work he was doing was breaking down his body. He got his real estate license and began working part time for a little company called Shamrock Realty. He stayed there until 2011, when he decided to pursue better opportunities at RE/MAX. Kevin has now worked as a Realtor for 13 years, and has always had a passion for community and helping to see it grow. Kevin has had all types of clients over the last decade, but has always had a passion for helping with estate transitions and helping to provide families with closure during difficult times. He is not only a great businessman, but a kind individual who goes above and beyond to make sure his clients are always well taken care of in all their home selling needs. He is a hard-working individual who always does everything he can to get the deal done. His commitment to helping clients is beyond the normal real estate agent, and he does everything he can to try and help people.
Kevin has served on the Cheyenne Board of Realtors as a Director, Treasurer, Vice President, and President, and most recently helped serve on two committees for the benefit of our Cheyenne Board. His hard work and dedication to our Realtor community and to upholding our professionalism have always been outstanding. Kevin has also served the Cheyenne and Laramie County community by volunteering his time and resources to help many organizations, including the Laramie County Fair, Coats for Kids, God’s Mighty Men, and The Cheyenne Tennis Association. Kevin is also a family man, and has dedicated himself to seeing his children get a better education for themselves than he was able to. He has put two daughters through community college and is sending his middle daughter to UW for her bachelor’s this fall. Kevin also spends a considerable amount of time fixing things, only sometimes his own. He rarely sits still at open houses, and is always going around the house trying to fix something, from scrubbing cabinets to fixing weather stripping to painting. When Kevin has free time, you will find him out trying to grow a little garden, playing with his boys (the dogs) or fiddling around on his tractor. Kevin is a man of dedication, energy, enthusiasm, professionalism, and kindness which he has extended to as many community members as he is able. He is a superstar in our community, and a shining example of what it means to be a Realtor.
Kevin’s Broker, Steve Prescott, said this about him,
I can always count on Kevin to provide outstanding service to his clients, help an agent in the office and to volunteer in the community! He is a perfect mix of dedication, knowledge and humor. We are grateful to work with Kevin and his daughter, Adri! His recognitions locally and from the state are well deserved.
Congratulations Kevin! If you need real estate in Cheyenne, please give Kevin a call to schedule an appointment, 307-630-8290 or register on his website.
