In 1990, the Cheyenne Christmas Parade was founded by a local family. It has grown to be one of the largest parades and one of the few remaining parades called “The Christmas Parade.”
It is a local celebration which features 150+ businesses, organizations and civic groups. The community unites to make the evening vibrant and filled with themed floats. This year’s theme is “Christmas Around the World.” The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. in Downtown Cheyenne. The route will remain the same, even with the current construction you may see when driving downtown. It will conclude in the downtown plaza for a special tree lighting ceremony with Mayor Marian Orr and Santa Claus and a ribbon cutting for the ice rink. It is a festive time of year and a weekend that kicks of the season with great holiday spirit. Bring your family and friends and head downtown to enjoy this special parade and celebration.
