Our friends at Laramie County Abstract and Title (LCA) are moving into a new location soon. Recently I asked them some questions on their history and future. Thanks for your time, Kristen!
How long has LCA been in their current location?
Laramie County Abstract has been at its current location of 1819 Warren Avenue since 1961.
When do you move to your new location and what is that address?
We will be moving to our new location mid May. Our new address will be 433 E 19th Street, Suite 1, on the corner of 19th and Van Lennen.
How long have you worked with LCA and where are the LCA headquarters located?
I have been with Laramie County Abstract for exactly one year, but have been in the title business for 25 years. Our corporate headquarters are located in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Why did LCA decide to change locations?
Sadly, we have outgrown our current location. Quite simply, we needed more space to perform our closings and we needed more parking.
What big changes are happening in the title industry?
The industry is moving towards digital closings, remote notarizations and e-recordings. Block chain technology may also play an important role in the future.
What makes LCA different from other title companies?
Our people make a big difference because of our many years of experience. Our management team has 55 years of experience and our employees have decades and decades of experience. We are not a small, stand alone agency but are one of the largest regional title agencies, operating 66 offices in Idaho, Montana, Washington and Wyoming. We are large enough to have the financial resources to operate effectively but we are not so large that we have forgotten personalized customer service. We are a family owned company, and our corporate culture is that of a tight knit family. Our parent company, Title Financial Corporation, has been in existence for 115 years.
How many employees are in your office now and will that increase at the new location?
We currently have eight employees working for Laramie County Abstract and our Vice President of Title Operations for Wyoming is also located in our office.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
We would like the public to know how much we appreciate them, because without our wonderful customers/clients we wouldn’t have a reason to come to work. It is such a rewarding feeling to perform a closing for a first time home buyer, and it’s just as heartbreaking to help a woman sell her home because she just lost her husband. We connect with our clients on a personal level and treat them the way we would want to be treated. We are proud of the job that we do, that’s what makes Laramie County Abstract unique and a stand out from the competition.
