Have you ever heard of Array School of Technology & Design?
Well if you have not yet heard of them, let us introduce you! If you have already heard of them, then you too will be excited about what is to come. They started to do a renovation on their 4th Floor in the old Grier Building in downtown Cheyenne in the fall of 2019. The upper floor will include several classroom spaces, interior offices and then one open space with a stage! Five R Construction is doing the build and the designer of the renovation is the company, Tobin & Associates. They were able to preserve the history of the floor with the update by keeping the original wallpaper celebrating the Asian Culture in its pattern, and the metal elevator is being kept in the space for all to admire. It is not operative but it is certainly a cool piece to look at and enjoy.
The Array School of Technology & Design was first started by a number of business professionals who found it difficult to find the right talent to fill technology and design based jobs in Laramie County. Eric Trowbridge is the face of Array. He is always filled with energy, ideas and a pleasure to work with for us at RE/MAX Capitol Properties. Later the Board of Directors sold the school to their new owner, Dan & Amy Surdam. They are business owners mostly in the healthcare industry owning a variety of Stitches locations and being early adopters of telehealth technologies. They founded The Array Foundation, as well, to help with specific causes and they also did a for-profit arm called Array to provide design and technology services to clients in an agency format. The renovation of their building will be another investment in advancing their vision and in the process, they continue to improve the downtown area. They are most certainly an “array” of sunshine in the heart of Cheyenne. Congratulations Array on your success. Thanks for making our community better, Eric, when you brought the concept of Array to life.
