Laramie County is a healthy community to live in.
There are small excursions nearby which include hiking, biking, boating, camping, you name it! The community also is one that frequently cooks their own meals and our three local farmers markets continue to grow in popularity offering fresh produce from local ranches and farms. Activity is important for many residents of Laramie County.
The area is also known for being a popular location to raise a family and retire. Therefore having a strong healthcare system is important to the residents. Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is the County Hospital and is in the center of town. It is considered a “Large Rural” hospital with 238 beds with 365+ nurses and 127 doctors. Also with Cheyenne being such an incredible military community the Cheyenne VA Medical Center is in the community and is one of the only locations in the region. Healthcare goes beyond the medical centers. It includes the other medical specialists, dentists, chiropractors, nutritionists, fitness centers, personal trainers, you name it! Laramie County has them all and it is nice to have everything available in the community. Another unique opportunity is the schools which offer certain healthcare services in the area, one example is the LCCC Dental Hygiene Clinic which is open to the public.
Cheyenne and Laramie County provide all that you’ll need to raise your family. If there is an emergency that cannot be handled here, then Denver will cover it. My wife and I have been very pleased with our medical care in Cheyenne. All three of our children were born here after quality care from local OB doctors and nurses. The pediatricians have been terrific! Eye doctors, dentists, oral surgeons, orthodontists, neurosurgeons and the hospital care have been fantastic. No one ever likes to pay the medical bills, but we are thankful that the services are available with such quality people.
