With the help of local contributors, State of Wyoming, Laramie County Commissioners and City of Cheyenne, Air Service as been activated in Cheyenne once again.
Recently there was a loss in Great Lakes airline carrier. With the united investment from the various local government entities and private contributors American Airlines by Skywest was commissioned to serve our community to the Dallas Forth Worth Hub. This is great news for our community and has already been well received. The first flight was on November 4th and since then the numbers have been strong. Most of the passengers have been traveling predominantly for business. Oil Industry, Military & Government are the main groups this route is to serve.
Next steps will be to work on getting 2 flights a day out of the Cheyenne Regional Airport to make connecting easier and after that the sky is the limit.
