Over a decade ago, the Cheyenne Children's Museum Board of Directors was formed to help foster an idea for the City of Cheyenne.

The volunteers worked tirelessly to promote the concept and raise funds, inching the idea to reality with each dollar pledged. Now, the building is erected, with the final stages of construction occurring, and a new Executive Director was named to help steward it to an open date for the public. Watching the progress of the Cheyenne Children's Museum has been amazing and we have had the privilege to be engaged in the process to make it a future staple for our community's families. Whether we attended milestone celebrations, had agents involved in the solicitation of support, or being donors, the outcome of this incredible project will truly be a community effort we will be proud to have.

The address of the Cheyenne Children's Museum is 1618 O'Neil Ave, a great location for families and community members. The Architect is StudioRED, and the construction company is a local family-owned business, 5R Construction. The building, once complete, will have exhibits filling the 4,800 sq. ft. building with limited space reserved for operations. It will also have a 538 sq. ft. outdoor playspace and exhibit. The lot offers an opportunity for growth and enables additional development because it is a large lot. It could house a second building up to 18,000 sq. ft. Exhibits within the museum will focus on STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading/Relationships, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and will also have a focus on accessibility for all populations served. Ultimately, each will center around learning and fun. We look forward to the outcome and overall are proud to see this progress. Especially when we know so many individuals have made it possible. When we are united, it is incredible the accomplishments we can achieve.
